We are packing for a 5-6 hour drive with 3 adults and 2 kids. This is our food. I forgot to include a package of smoked salmon for this picture. I normally buy organic yogurt and add berries myself. This time, to make it more convenient, I bought greek yogurt that came prepackaged. Roasted, unsalted seeds, raw almonds. Sardines in soybean oil. Boiled eggs. Fruits, veggies. Some gourmet cucumbers, tomatoes. Some tomatoes and cucumbers from my mom’s garden. Avocados, red peppers, fresh cheese from Trader Joe’s. We should be alright. Ya know? I refuse to eat fast food on the road anymore. Eating like this will make us feel good. Veggies and fruits and smoked salmon will give us the needed energy. It will NOT make us drowsy. I wanted to roast a turkey breast to take along, but didn’t have time. This will do. This is how everyone should eat on the road. Easy, will NOT get rotten easily. A cooler, some ice and good to go. We are taking a ton of water with us too.
